Originally a New York agency, we are now headquartered in Southern California but working with clients all over the world. Sharon Esche Irving
Sharon has served clients in all categories and aspects of the retail and professional beauty industry. This includes hair care, hair color, skin care, nail care, health, nutrition, fitness, and fashion.
In addition to having worked with clients in these areas, Sharon has spent many years on the client side, as head of Public Relations and Advertising for Clairol’s Professional Products Division in New York, and on the media side, as both an award-winning journalist, columnist, and author. This has proved invaluable experience in interpreting her clients’ needs. She is an often-quoted writer and beauty authority in her own right, and is a co-author and contributing editor of several consumer beauty books, two of which involved a national media tour with MacMillan and G. P. Putnam Publishers.
Sharon has also conceived and created numerous professional beauty industry firsts. Some continue to this day and have set the standard for many events, concepts, and organizations that have followed.

Before “doubling the dynamics” at Esche & Alexander in the early ´90s, Alex Irving was Founder, President, and Executive Producer for New York City-based ATI Multi-Media Communications. His company specialized in creating national sales and marketing meetings, and informational, educational and motivational programs for business and industry. Producing communications ranging from “live” Broadway-style shows, to video, film, slides and multi-image communications, Mr. Irving was the recipient of numerous Gold and Silver awards at the prestigious International Film and Television Festival of New York for business communications excellence on behalf of his Fortune 1000 clients.

Marketing, Sales & Product Development
Lynn brings a wealth of experience in product development, marketing, sales, and management expertise to Esche & Alexander. Her previous positions in marketing and product management with cosmetic and personal care companies such as Revlon International, Clairol, Elizabeth Arden, Helena Rubinstein, and Gillette’s Eve of Roma Division in New York, Boston and Montreal, helped prepare her for the post of President of Payot-Paris USA (ITTE).
Lynn has consulted with many skincare, medi-spa, spa and salon-related businesses over the years. Other past corporate consulting clients include Dioptics Medical Products, Geneda, Lume’, Redken Laboratories, Kayla Beverly Hills, Aclime’ LifeSpas, MD Performance Skincare, Skin of Norway and YG Laboratories Inc., a private label skin care company, where she was also a member of their Board of Directors for three years.
She is co-founder and twice President of Beauty Industry West (BIW), a cosmetic trade association with 400+ members based in Southern California and is currently a BIW Board member. She is also a member of Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) and a past-member of ISPA, the international spa trade association, where she served on the Education Committee for two years.
Anne’s role as an Account Supervisor at Esche & Alexander PR has spanned over 20 years of achievement. She oversees the Supercuts of Los Angeles account, supporting the recruitment efforts of their franchisee group in Supercuts’ largest market with over 300 salons. Anne works hands-on with the cosmetology schools in the greater Los Angeles area and helps to develop the L.A. website and print materials, educational literature, and special event planning on behalf of Supercuts. Among her larger projects every year is the production, promotion, and hosting of the Supercuts SUPERSUNDAY, an industry-exclusive day of teacher and student education, recognition, and competition culminating in a Gala Awards Dinner. Anne brings to E&A an extensive and entrepreneurial background in beauty, fashion, fitness, health and well-being. She has owned her own health and nutrition-driven beauty products storefront business for Shaklee for 20 years. Anne has also managed a busy high-end hair salon as well as a business staffing agency for years. Her customer-service background began at Nordstrom and also included working in the marketing department at Whole Foods. As a successful business owner, Anne is also proud of ‘Dreams by Design’, her own business event/wedding planning company.
