MONTANA SALON & SPA ASSOCIATION HOSTS
SPRING BEAUTY SHOW SMASH FOR SALON/SPA PRO’S:
EDUCATION ‘FUSION’ BACK AGAIN OCT. 14-15.
5 States, Canada Meet Up In Montana for World Class Beauty
Education!
It was a state-hosted beauty education show of perfect
proportions, as hundreds of salon/spa professionals met up in
Butte, Montana for a first-class ‘FUSION OF EDUCATION’ and
competitions for students and professionals. The Montana
Salon & Spa Association (MSSA) presented the two-day forum
at the Copper King Hotel & Convention Center, a virtual
mega-merge of attendees from five states and Canada for cutting,
styling, long hair techniques, manicuring, pedicuring, skin
care, make-up and business education.
According to MSSA President Kris McDonald, the heavy
attendance of classes throughout the show reflected the global
quality of education offered and long desired by many throughout
Montana and neighboring states right in their own backyard. Says
McDonald: “It’s not always easy for this region of the
country to travel to the major industry show cities of Chicago,
Los Angeles and New York for the highest caliber of educational
experts. So this year the Montana Salon & Spa Association
decided it was time to bring such world-class talent directly to
their own state, and boy did their members respond
enthusiastically. Participating manufacturers and distributors
(Beaches Beauty Supply and Meridian Beauty Supply) also gave the
show rave reviews!”
Guest artists for the Montana professional beauty show on
April 15-16 featured Arnel of California, Gary Gerard, Lori
Nestore, Tom Quigley, Ivory Mims, Robin Hometchko, Jeannie
Boniface, Katharin von Gavel, Jon Gonzales, and The NetWeRK Team
(John and Josef). The show also offered competitions on April
14, including Student and Professional Hair Styling Competitions
plus Professional Nail Competitions and prestigious awards
presented at the end of all Competitions.
Resulting from Montana’s successful Spring show effort is
this Association’s Fall show scheduled for October 14-15, 2007
at the Holiday Inn Grand/Convention Center in Billings, Montana.
The same incredible roster of guest artistry and educational
talent will headline the show, but will also include hair
designer/educator extraordinaire Martin Parsons coming in from
Canada to share his classic long hair artistry and knowledge.
Joining the Fall headliners will also include dynamic and young
award-winning hairstylist Brad Graham Kirner whose reputation in
Canada and the U.S. for progressive cutting and edgy color
techniques are unparalleled. Cheryl and Nuccio Basilisco of ESPI
International will also present their own special brand of
hairstyling education and sheer electricity while sharing their
much sought-out secrets to professional success.
