World's Leading Researcher of LED Light Therapy

country. Considered the world's leading researcher on LED and
Laser Light Therapy, Dr.Glen Calderhead will cover two decades
of research which prove the skin rejuvenation and wrinkle
reduction benefits of LED with three specific, proven
narrow-band light spectra; he'll also cover the various devices
and treatments for skin conditions such as skin discolorations (hyperpigmentation),
periorbital wrinkles, and mild to severe acne-prone skin and
discuss how non-invasive LED therapy can be combined with other
adjunctive services in the salon setting.
Calderhead Biographical Background
With more than 30 years of research in biomedical
phototherapy of both Lasers and LED Light Therapy, Dr.
Calderhead is considered a leading authority on how light waves
interact with the skin and underlying tissues. He graduated with
honors from the University of Glasgow with a Masters Degree in
Medical Science and completed his Fellowship at the Tissue
Repair Division of London University in England. He completed
his Medical Science doctorate at Rochville University in
Maryland, graduating cum laude, and is a Fellow of the Royal
Society of Medicine in London. He was Director of Research and
Education at the Japan Medical Laser Laboratory for six years,
and has been a permanent resident of Japan since 1994. Dr.
Calderhead has authored two books and co-authored 8 more on the
subject of Laser and Light Therapy, has written more than 138
papers on the subject. A distinguished member of nine worldwide
societies in Laser and Anti-Aging Medicine, he also co-founded
four of them. Dr. Calderhead has been invited to speak at 127
major skin care congresses around the world, and is known for
making technology understandable and accessible to a wide
audience of listeners. He is currently the Scientific Advisor to
the Japan Phototherapy Laboratory where he conducts his research
and also advises companies in Japan, Brazil and the U.K. on
phototherapy issues.
