PRESENTS LED LIGHT THERAPY
SCIENCE AT ITA TANNING WORLD EXPO GENERAL SESSION
Dr. Glen Calderhead, MSc., PhD. FRSM, renowned as the
world’s leading researcher on LED and Laser Light Therapy,
shared his knowledge to a packed house at the recent
International Smart Tan Network’s 12th Annual Educational
Conference at the ITA Tanning World Expo General Session.
Dr. Calderhead made the science behind light therapy easily
understandable to the assembled audience of salon professionals.
He reviewed two decades of scientific research which proved the
skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction benefits of LED
narrow-band light. Additionally he explored the various devices
and treatments for skin conditions such as skin discolorations
(hyperpigmentation), periorbital wrinkles, and mild to severe
acne-prone skin.
With the intense interest in light therapy as an added
service by many tanning salons around the country, Dr.
Calderhead’s presentation was well received.
