‘HAI Elite’ Sponsors PBFC "Industry Updater" Luncheon:
Jerry Tyler and Marlene Gadinis Named As
New California Board of Cosmetology Members
Leading hair appliance manufacturer, HAI Elite, hosted the recent Professional Beauty Federation of Californiagathering of beauty industry leaders during the recent Beauty Revolution show at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The focus was on the state of California's beauty industry and the many challenges facing it in 2006.
The guest presenter at the luncheon was PBFC's Legal Counsel and lobbyist Fred Jones who shared an in-depth explanation of the recent State legislature Sunset Review of the Board and the pressing reforms our industry needs if the Board is to avoid a sunset in July of 2007.
The PBFC is a industry advocacy coalition representing the many business categories of the beauty industry in California. The PBFC has become the ‘recognized voice’ of the industry to the State Legislature, the Governors Office, and the Department of Consumer Affairs and has been calling for . Our membership includes Independent Salons, Chain Salons, Private Schools, Public Educators, Apprenticeship providers, Manufacturers and Distributors.
Among the news of the day was the announcement that two of the PBFC’s Board of Directors, Jerry Tyler, Director of Education for Carlton Hair International and Marlene Gadinis, owner of Ecotique Salon and Spa in San Diego have been appointed as '‘Industry Members' of California's Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
